Fresh and Fun Family Assessments: Employing the Therapeutic Powers of Play (3 CEUs)

June 10, 2023 12-3:30pm

Registration Deadline: June 7th 5pm

Engaging and assessing families is critical to understanding the family dynamics that affect client outcomes. Employing the therapeutic powers of play in family sessions allows you to get to the heart of the matter quickly and effectively at a developmental level where all can participate fully. Family Play Therapy offers the power of play combined with the theoretical wisdom of family systems. Through hands-on practice and clinical vignettes, you will discover assessment activities you can employ in your sessions to identify strengths, fears, stressors, and interpersonal dynamics through engaging in the therapeutic metaphors that naturally arise in play. Come ready to draw, color, imagine, and create your way to better assessments in your family sessions. Take home your creations and handouts to help you put your new knowledge to work with your clients right away.
