Upon final approval by TNAMFT Board and AAMFT Staff, the official Bylaws vote will take place in June of 2019 via electronic means. In order to approve the proposed Bylaws amendments, two-thirds of TNAMFT's voting members - Clinical and Pre-Clinical members - must approve the changes.

Congratulations to TNAMFT member Phil Barkley!
He was presented with the 2019 Outstanding Mental Health Professional award by Mental Health America on June 19th! Phil has a practice, Barkley and Associates, in Murfreesboro.
About Phil: Mr. Barkley is a Licensed Senior Psychological Examiner, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor with Mental Health Service Provider status and has over 35 years of experience. He is a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor and an Approved Clinical Supervisor. He is also a Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and an Approved Supervisor.
Mr. Barkley is a listed Rule 31 Family Mediator. His areas of specialization include couples therapy, marital and family therapy and adult individual therapy. Mr. Barkley has training in a number of different energy psychology modalities for the treatment of emotional or psychological issues.
Mr. Barkley’s previous experience includes serving as a Baptist Minister, a clinician for a mental health center, Director of Planning and Evaluation for the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and a practitioner in private practice for the past 25 years.
