I am so very grateful for our community of marriage and family therapists in Tennessee and those who have been so selfless in service. In 2017 we benefited greatly from, not only the work of our current board, but the Past Presidents Council and legislative committee particularly in helping us navigate many changes over this last year. I want to particularly thank our state board members who rotated out with the close of this last year; Barney Self, Sean Ridge, Keith Fussell, and Tyler Rogers. I also would like to take this time to welcome our new members to the board; Barry Greenlee, Gordon Brewer, Teri Murphy, and Emily Kratzert. Please be on the lookout for communications from our new regional and group representatives for events throughout the year, and do not forget to save the date for our 2018 conference April 13-14 in Murfreesboro (https://ctsummit.xmi.events), but more on that later.
As we consider 2018, we want to stay focused in continuing to grow and protect our profession. For those who are looking to become more involved, we very much recommend AAMFT’s FamilyTEAM(http://networks.aamft.org/familyteam/home) which provides a network for advocacy on the local, state, and national level for our profession. Thank you all for the commitment to our profession and I look forward to our year ahead.
